UTeachTech Minor and
STEM Education Studies Undergraduate Certificate

Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) majors interested in education can earn the 21 credit-hour UTeachTech Minor AND STEM Education Studies (UTeachTech) Undergraduate Certificate, which consist of courses that are discipline-specific, based on current research, and focused specifically on STEM teaching and learning.

UTeachTech Teacher Certification Program

Students who wish to be certified to teach high school math or science complete a 9 credit-hour Clinical Residency (year-long student teaching experience) in addition to the minor/undergraduate certificate courses. This is the UTeachTech Teacher Certification Program.

UTeachTech Post-Baccalaureate Program

The UTeachTech post-baccalaureate certificate pathway, Teaching in STEM Disciplines, Grades 6-12, (UTeachTech) Post Baccalaureate Certificate, allows STEM students to begin the program during their undergraduate studies and complete the program, including the additional requirements for teaching certification, after graduation. It also gives STEM graduates the opportunity to be hired as teachers of record in a school district receiving full teacher pay while completing the program.
